Book Signing on the Wightlink Ferry - A first!

Anyone travelling to or from the Isle of Wight on the St Clare on 31 May 2007 will have the dubious honour of seeing me on the ferry doing a book signing. Hope the weather's calm as I, ably assisted by the owners of the Hayling Island Book Shop, Colin and Marie Telford, will be trundling across the Solent all day- yes all day!

And the reason for this mad antic - apart that is to generate publicity and sell books - is to promote my latest marine mystery thriller, In For The Kill. Why? Because my hero, Alex Albury, lives on a houseboat in Bembridge Harbour on the Isle of Wight, and in his quest to clear his name, restore his reputation and destroy the man who frame d him for fraud and embezzlement he too has to traverse the Solent, using not only the Wightlink ferry, but Red Funnel and the Hovercraft. But no, this is a one off. I am not repeating it on the Red Funnel crossing and I doubt I'd have time to sign my name on the Hovercraft.

My signing session apart, the beautiful Isle of Wight it is well worth travelling to. It is a favourite location of mine. Great for a relaxing holiday, lots of fantastic walks and cycle tracks, stunning scenery and coasts and some really good campsites for the kids. What more could you want, except the right weather and at the time of writing this it is glorious - long may it last. See you all on the St Clare on 31 May 2007 - 10.30am kick off from Portsmouth.
