Great news from the publisher of the DI Horton series, Severn House

Kate Lyall Grant is to become head of publisher Severn House who publish my DI Andy Horton crime novels.  Kate will have overall responsibility for the entire list published by Severn House which includes not only crime and mystery, but romance, historical fiction, horror, fantasy and saga.

Kate formerly worked at Simon & Schuster. She said: “In the current economic climate and the cautious buying market, our independent status means we can attract better quality authors than ever before. We’re competing with bigger publishers and gaining more coverage and starred reviews in trade journals and are hoping that the new e-book list and Severn Select imprint will pick up the slack from the declining library sales."

I'm delighted to be published by Severn House who are certainly a thriving publishing house with a great reputation both in the UK and the USA. Two of  my crime novels have received starred reviews in the States: Dead Man's Wharf and Footsteps on the Shore, and all have received great reviews.

A Killing Coast, the seventh in the DI Horton series was published in hardcover by Severn House in January.
