Nominate your favourite crime author for the CWA Dagger in the Library Award 2013

Readers have until 1 April to nominate their favourite crime author for the Dagger in the Library Award 2012. Sponsored by the publishers, Random House, the Dagger in the Library Award is organised by The Crime Writers' Association of Great Britain (CWA). It is awarded for the author’s body of work. Here is a glimpse of my crime novels.

I'm delighted to say that I was nominated for the Dagger in the Library Award in 2008 and would be thrilled if I was nominated again this year, but that's up to readers who can nominate some of their favourite crime writers by completing the nomination form available at your local library or from the CWA website.

The nominated authors must be alive and preferably working in Britain. Entries must be submitted through libraries. Nomination forms may be downloaded from the CWA website or obtained from libraries. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in Summer 2013.

There are now nine novels in the DI Andy Horton series, with the latest Undercurrent, published in January.

The seventh in the DI Andy Horton crime series, A Killing Coast has also been nominated for the eDUNNIT AWARD at CrimeFest 2013.

Crimefest is an annual convention for crime fiction fans and draws top crime novelists, readers, editors, publishers and reviewers from around the world. The event takes place at the Royal Marriot Hotel, Bristol from 30 May to 2 June 2013.

The eDunnit Award is for the best crime fiction ebook first published in both hardcopy and in electronic format in the British Isles in 2012.  I have appeared at Crimefest for the last three years and will again be appearing on a panel on 31 May at 10am..More details of  my website.

In addition to the DI Horton series I am also the author of two stand alone thrillers, In Cold Daylight, which was voted the third most popular novels for World Book Day 2008, and In For The Kill.

So get your nominations in now for your favourite crime author 2013 for the CWA Dagger in the Library Award.
