Writing second drafts and third revisions

I finished the second draft of the next DI Andy Horton mystery crime novel at the weekend, number 11 in the series of mysteries set in the Solent area on the South Coast of England. I'm pleased to say that it has all fallen into place now and I'm excited to begin the third revisions.  Now I can flesh out the characters further, make sure the storyline all ties in and that all the clues (and Red Herrings) are in the correct places. I also check that there is a good change of scene and a variety of pace throughout the novel.

DI Andy Horton has a new crime to solve in the eleventh book as well as progressing his on going investigation into the disappearance of his mother just over thirty years ago.

I also have the storyline for  DI Horton novel  number 12, which I hope to be doing some work on this week alongside the third revisions to  DI Andy Horton 11.  In addition to which I'm developing a new hero for a brand new series of crime novels.

Meanwhile for  readers there are plenty of DI Andy Horton novels to sink your eyes into as well as my two stand alone crime novels, In Cold Daylight and In For The Kill.

Undercurrent ( the ninth in the DI Horton series)  was published this year (2103) and Death Surge (number ten in the series) is published by Severn House Publishers in the UK and Commonwealth on 30 September 2013 and in the USA on 1 January 2014.
