September sees the publication of new DI Andy Horton mystery crime novel - Death Surge
I'm delighted to announce that September sees the publication of the new DI Andy Horton mystery, Death Surge, the tenth in the series, set against the atmospheric backdrop of the sea in the Solent area on the South Coast of England.
Death Surge, featuring the flawed and rugged DI Andy Horton, is published by Severn House Publishers in the UK and Commonwealth in hardcover. Those of you in America will have to wait a little longer for your dose of Andy Horton. Death Surge will be published in the USA in hardcover on 1 January 2014 when it will also be released as an e book and available on all devices including Kindle, Kobo and Nook.
I'll also be giving two talks in September. On 16 September I'll be talking to members of
Bordon U3A at 2pm and on 18 September I'll be entertaining members of the
Southbourne Literary Society, Bournemouth with tales of Murder, Mischief and Mystery. To see all my up and coming events, please visit my events page.
In September I'll be putting the finishing touches to DI Andy Horton number eleven ready to send to my publisher.
All my crime novels are available to buy online and from bookshops and are also available as e books on Kindle, Kobo and Nook. Some are available in Large Print and as unabridged audio books and they can be loaned from a library in the UK, Commonwealth and the USA.
A telephone call from a frantic Sergeant Cantelli to say that his nephew, Johnnie Oslow, is missing cuts short Detective Inspector Horton’s sailing trip to France. Summoned back to the Isle of Wight, Horton learns that Johnnie has not shown up for racing during Cowes Week, as previously arranged. The investigation is ranked low priority by Horton’s boss, Detective Chief Inspector Lorraine Bliss, who like others believes Johnnie has probably gone off with a woman. But events take a very different turn when the charred remains of a body are discovered in one of the disused tunnels at the Hilsea Lines in Portsmouth. With the arrival of Detective Chief Superintendent Sawyer of the Intelligence Directorate and Agent Harriet Eames of Europol, what began as the hunt for a missing man becomes the search for a ruthless killer . . .
