Pauline Rowson to give talk about the inspiration behind the DI Andy Horton crime novels and her thrillers

I'm looking forward to talking to the Young at Heart Club on Hayling Island today about the inspiration behind the DI Andy Horton crime novels, and how I plot and research them, as well as speaking about my thriller novels, In Cold Daylight and In For The Kill.  I'm sure I'll also be taking lots of questions from the audience.

I give many talks to all kinds of groups and to audiences of all sizes. You can see all my events for 2014 and 2015 on the events page on my website.

I'll be posting some photographs here from the talk in due course.

Some of talks and Q & As have been recorded and you can watch these on my You Tube Channel.

Hailed as "redefining the genre of police drama” the DI Andy Horton series of crime novels has been acclaimed as having everything: compelling crimes, complex past history, a tough work environment, romantic entanglements and political intrigue played out against the dramatic and powerfully evocative British marine landscape of Portsmouth and the Solent.  The cops are tough yet fallible.

Death Surge is the latest in the DI Horton series to be published.

"A crisply written, cleverly plotted procedural with a nice twist, Rowson’s latest also continues the intriguing saga of Andy’s search for the mother who disappeared in mysterious circumstances when he was a child." Booklist.

When the charred remains of a body are discovered in one of the disused tunnels at the Hilsea Lines in Portsmouth what began as the hunt for a missing man becomes the search for a ruthless killer . . .

"Rowson plunges readers into the midst of the  series’ intricate backstory in her 10th Det. Insp. Andy Horton mystery.  Within three  pages, a newcomer may feel as if he or she is already catching up. The  fast-paced narrative with its multiple theories, will draw readers along.” Publishers Weekly
