Will the enigmatic sailing detective, DI Andy Horton, be on TV?

For those of you who read the news some time ago about the possibility of DI Andy Horton being on our television screens and are wondering what is happening, here is an update.

The DI Andy Horton series has been optioned by top UK television production company Lime Pictures, makers of Channel 4's Hollyoaks amongst many other successful television programmes both in the UK and abroad. Lime Pictures have been working very hard to persuade the major television broadcasters to give Andy a go.  A very talented scriptwriter has been engaged who loves the series, the setting and of course the  enigmatic sailing detective, DI Andy Horton.  The journey to getting on television is a very long  and fraught one beset with many hurdles and no guarantee that even if it goes into development and production it will ever be screened. Still, Andy is in there with a chance so keep your fingers and everything else crossed.  If he doesn't make it this time maybe next as fashions, moods and heads of drama change - or perhaps Art Marvik will beat Andy to it!
