Tickets on sale for Portsmouth Coppers with crime authors, Graham Hurley and Pauline Rowson
Graham Hurley and Pauline Rowson, whose novels are set in Portsmouth,
come under interrogation in a brand new event for Portsmouth BookFest,
called Portsmouth Coppers where they will be cross examined by former criminal
barrister and crime author Diana Bretherick about why they set their
crime novels in Portsmouth and what is it about the waterfront city that
holds such a fascination for them and their fictional detectives.
Portsmouth BookFest is organised by Portsmouth City Library Service and the Hayling Island Bookshop and runs from 11 February to 4 March 2017.
Portsmouth Coppers will give the audience the chance to hear how Graham Hurley and Pauline Rowson research and write their crime novels. There will also be plenty of time for the audience to put their questions to the authors. The panel debate will be followed by a book signing.
Graham Hurley and Pauline Rowson will be quizzed by Diana Bretherick who worked as a criminal barrister for ten years and with offenders at Brixton prison before becoming a crime writer. She is the author of two crime novels published by Orion, The City of Devils and The Devil's Daughters.
