Spine chilling murder mystery tales from crime author Pauline Rowson at Old Portsmouth's Square Tower

The Square Tower in Portsmouth was the setting for murder and mystery when I entertained members of Old Portsmouth Women's Institute on Thursday 4 October 2018.

Built in 1494 during the reign of Henry VII, the Square Tower, part of the ancient fortifications built to protect the rapidly expanding naval port of Portsmouth had plenty of atmosphere to add to my talk and was of significance to the audience as many of my Portsmouth based DI Andy Horton crime novels feature the fortifications including the latest in the DI Andy Horton series (14) DEAD PASSAGE.

I explained to the audience how I craft my crime novels of which there are now nineteen published.  Along with the fourteen in the DI Andy Horton crime series, I am the author of the mystery thrillers featuring undercover investigator and former Royal Marine Commando, Art Marvik (3) and two standalone thrillers.

After my talk there was a question and answer session followed by a book signing.

I enjoyed  entertaining members of Old Portsmouth WI and in such an atmospheric venue.  I came away thinking it was such a good location for another crime novel being so steeped in history, it gave me several ideas, so I might just have to get DI Andy Horton down there.
