The Rat Island Murders, DI Andy Horton 14Five skeletons are unearthed on Rat Island, an uninhabited island owned by the Ministry of Defence in Portsmouth Harbour. Among them are the remains of a woman dubbed ‘Quintessa’ by the detectives, who was murdered sometime in the 1980s.

THE RAT ISLAND MURDERS is number fourteen in the DI Andy Horton Solent Murder Mystery Series and, like the others, is set on Horton’s CID patch, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.

As many of my readers know it is locations that often inspire me and this crime novel was no different.
