A busy day ahead, Alex Dyke BBC Radio Solent 12.00 to 13.00 and presenting prizes to short story competition winners on the Isle of Wight

This morning I am appearing on the Alex Dyke Show on BBC Radio Solent on his Big Hour slot between 12.00 and 13.00. I'll be chatting to Alex about my DI Andy Horton marine mystery crime novels and my thrillers set in the Solent area and Portsmouth. You can listen live via the BBC Radio Solent web site or on 96.1 FM or 103.8 FM.

Then it's over to the Isle of Wight to present prizes to the winners of the Wight Fair Writers Circle Crime & Intrigue Short Story Writing Competition  at Newport Minster in the presence of the High Sheriff, Susie Sheldon.

I'll be presenting the awards and on hand to sign copies of my DI Horton crime novels and thrillers, alongside Bob and Carol Bridgestock – authors of ‘Deadly Focus’ and the soon to be released sequel ‘Consequences’ August 2011.

Island band LEGO will be there and the Isle of Wight Police will be setting up a mock crime. Should be fun. Refreshments will be available courtesy of the ladies from Newport Minster – Funds to go to Newport Minster and entry is FREE, so all welcome! Proceeds of the 2011 competition go to the Island based charities, The Isle of Wight Homeless & Love Russia Charity.

I hope to post some photographs from the event here later this week.
