Good reviews from the USA for the latest DI Andy Horton - Death Surge
The tenth DI Andy Horton mystery crime novel
Death Surge was published by Severn House in hardcover in the UK and Commonwealth in September 2013 and will be published in the USA in January 2014 when it will also be released as an e book.
It's received a couple of good reviews from American book reviewers and some interest from TV and Film production companies both in the US and the UK. I won't hold my breath on the latter because I know how hot and cold this blows and that to get the DI Andy Horton series on television, if it ever happens, takes a long time. It's encouraging however to know that some television executives can see the potential of the rugged and flawed DI and the attractiveness of the stunning location, which is the Solent area on the South Coast of England.
It's always good to get positive feedback on the series both from readers and reviewers. Here are the latest two book reviews from Publishers Weekly and Booklist.
"A crisply written, cleverly plotted procedural with a nice twist, Rowson’s latest also continues the intriguing saga of Andy’s search for the mother who disappeared in mysterious circumstances when he was a child." Booklist.
"Rowson plunges readers into the midst of the series’ intricate backstory in her 10th Det. Insp. Andy Horton mystery (after 2013’s Undercurrent). Within three pages, a newcomer may feel as if he or she is already catching up. The fast-paced narrative with its multiple theories, will draw readers along.” Publishers Weekly
