Glad I chose to set my DI Horton crime novels around the sea of the Solent, means I get to go on fabulous yachts- great photo shoot Saturday, more Detective Superintendent Uckfield's style than DI Andy Horton's

The photo shoot on Saturday on board a beautiful luxury motor boat by kind donation of its owner, went really well and was great fun.

Pauline Rowson getting ready to manoeuvre!

The photographer Nick Masson of Nicholas Charles Photography  was superb and made me feel very relaxed.  I'm not a natural in front of the camera so that was quite an achievement.

Looking cool in shades on the deck

It's definitely not DI Andy Horton's style of boat, but Detective Superintendent Uckfield would have loved it. We're hoping to do another photo shoot at some stage in the Solent, might have to wait for a beautiful, calm day for that though!

Look out behind!
