Happy publication day to Lethal Waves, the new Inspector Andy Horton crime novel by Pauline Rowson
Read any good crime novels lately? |
I'm delighted to announce the publication in the UK of the latest in the Andy Horton series of crime novels, Lethal Waves. Lethal Waves is the thirteenth in the series to feature my flawed and rugged sailing detective, Inspector Andy Horton. In this new mystery Andy has another complex murder investigation on his hands whilst trying to solve the puzzle of his mother's disappearance over thirty years ago.
The latter has taken him across the English Channel from Portsmouth his home town to Guernsey in the Channel Islands where he is unexpectedly called in by his friend Inspector John Guilbert of the States of Guernsey Police to view the body of a woman found in her cabin on the Condor ferry, the Commodore Clipper, which had sailed from Portsmouth to Guernsey.
There doesn’t appear to be any suspicious circumstances. It looks like death from natural causes or suicide. It's not Horton's case. He returns to Portsmouth only to be called in when a vagrant’s body has been found lying partially covered under one of the rotting houseboats close to where Horton lives on his boat in the marina. This time it clearly is murder.
Troubled by the many unanswered questions surrounding both deaths, Horton needs to call upon all his skills and intuition to solve this complex case, and in so doing uncovers dark secrets that have led to lethal waves of destruction.
