An interview on Julian Clegg's BBC Radio Solent Breakfast Show this morning

I was up bright and early this morning to be interviewed by Julian Clegg on his Breakfast Show on BBC Radio Solent.  It's always nice chatting to Julian Clegg who is such a professional broadcaster and so cheerful in the mornings, but then we'd hardly want someone miserable to wake us up.

I was very fortunate to be selected as one of Julian's People a couple of years ago, which means that Julian and listeners to his very popular show have been following the progress and news on certain people from the South Coast.  This morning we chatted about the success of the CSI Portsmouth Crime and the City event on 6 November and Julian is very keen to do something around the event in 2011, which would be great.  We also talked about my forthcoming appearance in Waterstone's in Commercial Road, Portsmouth this coming Saturday (27 November) between 12 noon to 2pm and the publication of the sixth in the Inspector Andy Horton series, Footsteps on the Shore, to be published on 27 January.

For the last two years I've been invited to the BBC Radio Solent Julian Clegg Christmas Party.  It means getting up early, but it's great fun.  The people Julian has spoken to over the year all get together in the BBC Studio staff canteen in Southampton for coffee and croissants and Julian Clegg interviews us all in turn. He (and his guests) are admirably kept in check by Talia Slack and her team.

Hope Julian's giving another Christmas breakfast bash this year because if he is (and I'm invited) I'll be there.
