The 2011 CWA Young Crime Writer Competition Winner Is Announced

I'm delighted to announce that Claudia Hyde, a 16-year-old from London, has won the Crime Writers' Association Young Crime Writers' Competition 2011 with her entry A Cushion Out Of Place. Many congratulations to her and to all the Regional Winners including the South's top young writer, George Neame, from Bognor Regis, for his entry, The Photograph

I was very proud and privileged to be the judge for the southern area for the second year running. It has been great fun reading all the entries and meeting the young writers.  I am only sorry to learn that the Crime Writers' Association (CWA) will not be running the competition in 2012.  Let's hope it can be resurrected for 2013!
