South coast crime comes to Portsmouth with Pauline Rowson and Peter James

I'm delighted to be taking part in an event with revered crime author, Peter James.  I will be interviewing Peter James and discussing crime fiction at Portsmouth BookFest 2018 at the Eldon Building, the University of Portsmouth on 22 February 2018.  I have been involved with Portsmouth BookFest since its inception and masterminded the popular CSI Portsmouth panel events for six years.

Peter James’ Roy Grace detective novels have sold over 18 million copies worldwide and have repeatedly topped the Sunday Times bestseller charts. Peter, an established film producer, has produced numerous films, including 'The Merchant of Venice', starring Al Pacino.   He has twice been Chair of the Crime Writers’ Association (CWA) and has won many literary awards, including the publicly voted ITV3 Crime Thriller Awards People’s Bestseller Dagger and in 2016 the Crime Writers' Association Diamond Dagger Award to mark sustained excellence and significant contributions to crime writing.

Portsmouth BookFest is a festival of popular literature organised by Portsmouth Central Library on behalf of Portsmouth City Council. The books are provided by the Hayling Island Bookshop.

The event takes place at 1 Eldon Building, University of Portsmouth between 7pm and 9pm. Tickets cost £7 which includes a £2 discount off the price of a book bought at the event. They can be purchased online or in person at any Portsmouth City Council Library.
