Writing, revisions, past talks and feature articles in October for crime author Pauline Rowson
Ah,
October, where has the year gone? Even with all the upheaval and
tragedies of Covid -19 it seems to be flying by. It seems strange not
to be giving any talks, and I miss the interaction with readers. During
October I will continue to look back on my past talks. I've met some
lovely people and it's good to review those events, although it also
feels rather sad, given the circumstances.
I'll
continue writing (of course) and I'm currently working on three
projects. I'm on final revisions to Marvik mystery thriller 4, which I
hope will be published in Spring 2021 and while that is with my editor I
will be cracking on with final revisions to the next Inspector Ryga
1950s set mystery no. 4, which will also be published in 2021,
possibly early autumn. DI Andy Horton fans though might have to wait
until early 2022 for the next installment in Andy's life and career. I
am about half way through the first draft. It's shaping up nicely but
there is a long way to go yet.
October
2020 sees the publication in audio of number 2. in the Inspector Ryga
mystery series DEATH IN THE HARBOUR, narrated by Jonathan Rhodes and
produced by B7 Media.
DEATH IN THE HARBOUR will be published in paperback, e book and Kindle on 2 November 2020 but you can pre-order your copy now.
England 1950, a country still struggling to come to terms with peace in the grip of austerity and rationing.
Scotland Yard's Inspector Alun Ryga is sent to Newhaven, East Sussex to unravel the mystery of why an ordinary police constable was murdered and his wife has gone missing
"Pure detection… a great read.”
Published in paperback, as an e book, on Kobo and Amazon Kindle on 2 November. Available for pre-order
Also on my website in October I'll be running articles on the
setting of Art Marvik mystery thriller DANGEROUS CARGO, number two
in the series, which was re-published along with SILENT RUNNING, (1) and
LOST VOYAGE (2) in September 2020.
"Fans of Rowson’s DI Andy Horton books will be
delighted with her new series featuring former marine commando Art
Marvik.A tense, terrifying thrill ride that twists and turns with
dizzying speed, combined with a likable, smart, tough, but all too human
hero, make this a cracking-good new series—action fans need Marvik on
their radar." Booklist on SILENT RUNNING.
The ART MARVIK series of mystery thrillers are published in paperback, as an ebook, on Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books and Google - Buy now
Happy October!
