Crime author Pauline Rowson on the London Underground – or rather the cover image of Footsteps on the Shore, a DI Horton crime novel is

The London Underground poster campaign for Portsmouth BookFest kicks off today and I’m thrilled to see the cover image of the sixth in the DI Andy Horton seriesof marine mystery crime novels, Footsteps on the Shore, advertised on it, along with fellow crime author Mark Billingham’s cover for Good As Dead.

We’re there because we are both participating in CSI Portsmouth on Saturday 5 November at John Pounds Centre, Portsmouth along with crime authors, John Harvey and Michael Ridpath.  Joining us during the day are crime writers Bob and Carol Bridgestock, Victorian Crime expert Dr Neil McCaw, and police and scene of crime experts from Hampshire Police plus forensic psychologists from the University of Portsmouth International Centre for Research in Forensic Psychology. It promises to be a great day.  We’ve got the fingerprinting team from Hampshire Constabulary, ready to take your fingerprint and press it into a key fob for you to take away, and we’ve got a crime scene provided by forensic students from South Downs College.

Full details including the programme are on my official web site at CSI Portsmouth 2011.

Tickets on sale from the Box Office + 44 (0) 23 9268 8685.

Tickets cost £5 for the morning and £7 for the afternoon with a discounted ticket of £10 for the whole day, which includes £3 off the price of a book bought at the event.
