DI Andy Horton's Patch - a map of the area where the action takes place

Some readers have asked for a map of DI Andy Horton's country to be included in the front of the novels. It sounds like a good idea, will have to sound out my publisher about this. Meanwhile this is a  photo of the area where the novels are set courtesy of Crown Copyright.

Most of the action in the Horton novels takes place in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight with DI Horton and his colleagues Sergeant Barney Cantelli and  Detective Superintendent Steve Uckfield travelling across the East Solent  on the Wightlink car ferry or the Hovercraft, or with the marine police unit on the police launch with Sergeant Elkins and PC Ripley.

Horton lives on board his yacht in Southsea Marina which faces onto Langstone Harbour.

The novels are primarily set around Portsmouth Harbour, Langstone and Chichester Harbours, the Isle of Wight and Gosport. There are now nine in the DI Andy Horton series. Undercurrent was published this year and the tenth, Death Surge will also be published this year in the UK in September and in the USA in January 2014. I've also written two stand alone crime novels not in the Horton series: In Cold Daylight and In For The Kill, both of which as also set in the Solent area.
