Delighted to announce new DI Andy Horton Crime Novel (11) is to be published by Severn House in 2014

I'm pleased to announce that Severn House Publishers  are to  publish the eleventh in the marine mystery crime series, featuring the flawed and rugged DI Andy Horton in 2014.

Shroud of Evil will be published in the UK and Commonwealth in April 2014 in hardcover and in the USA in hardcover in August 2014 when it will also be released as an e book and available on all devices including Kindle, Kobo and Nook.

The DI Andy Horton series is set in the Solent area of Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight on the South Coast of England.  I'm delighted that the series has  received some lovely reviews from readers and reviewers across the World.

Two novels in the DI Andy Horton crime series were published by Severn House in 2013  Undercurrent  and Death Surge

"As usual, Rowson offers up a thorny, multifaceted plot; a profusion of unusual twists; a likable yet complex hero; and plenty of fast-paced, knuckle-biting action." Booklist

"Those seeking an outstanding British police procedural will devour the ninth entry in Rowson’s sea-oriented series. Rowson’s plotting is deftly layered, and she successfully captures the mood of her protagonist’s tortured journey while creating abundant tension for the main plot of political intrigue." Library Journal USA

"A crisply written, cleverly plotted procedural with a nice twist, Rowson’s latest also continues the intriguing saga of Andy’s search for the mother who disappeared in mysterious circumstances when he was a child." Booklist.

"Rowson plunges readers into the midst of the  series’ intricate backstory in her 10th Det. Insp. Andy Horton mystery (after 2013’s Undercurrent).  Within three  pages, a newcomer may feel as if he or she is already catching up. The  fast-paced narrative with its multiple theories, will draw readers along.” Publishers Weekly

‘A high quality puzzle… a devious plot.  Death Surge is a taut and exciting investigation into a disappearance which turns into a murder hunt….all very enjoyable.’ David Marshall

'This excellent police procedural is the twelfth mystery by Pauline Rowson. This is a very gifted author… the quality of her very descriptive writing is superb…. I was gripped until the last page of this very well structured and plotted story. Recommended.' Terry Halligan, Eurocrime
