Pauline Rowson's
marine mystery crime novels are
proving to be a hit with library readers as the latest figures on
borrowing from UK public libraries in the Public Lending Rights league table show them having been loaned out almost 50,000 times in 2015 with
Death Surge,
Shroud of Evil and
A Killing Coast all featuring the flawed and rugged Portsmouth based cop, DI Andy Horton, the most borrowed crime novels.

My other crime novels include two
standalone crime thrillers, In For the Kill and
In Cold Daylight which was
voted by the public as the third most popular read for World Book Day
2008 and
my new marine based crime series features former Royal Marine commando,
special boat services officer Art Marvik. Marvik appears in
Silent Running published in 2015. The second in the series, Dangerous Cargo is being published in 2016.

My crime novels are set against the back drop of the sea on the South Coast of England. They are not only popular with UK
readers but also those in the USA and Commonwealth where they have
received rave reviews and where they are also extensively borrowed from
libraries. They are on sale in both printed and e book format and many
are also available in large print and as audio books. Many of them have
been published into several languages.
Public Lending Right (PLR) allows authors to receive payment under PLR
legislation for the loans of their books by public libraries. Payments
are made annually on the basis of loans data collected from a sample of
public libraries in the UK. PLR systems have been established in many countries
around the world including Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, France and
Ireland. British authors can benefit from PLR payments in these
countries which have a reciprocal agreement with the UK.
Thanks to all my readers. I'm very honoured and
delighted that my crime novels are giving a lot of people so much
pleasure.
