Crime author Pauline Rowson talks about the secrets of successful crime writing
Members of Southampton East Probus were entertained on Wednesday 20
June when I talked about the secrets of successful crime writing and
about my crime novels set on the South Coast of England.
I spoke of how I research my crime novels, including the police and forensic research and how I create my characters including the hunky, flawed and rugged sailing detective, Inspector Andy Horton and my new hero on the block former Royal Marine Commando, Art Marvik, now an undercover investigator for the UK's National Intelligence Marine Squad.
After my talk there followed a lively question and answer session and a book signing. It was a great pleasure to entertain the audience and my thanks to them for inviting me to speak.
Lost Voyage is the third in the Art Marvik Mystery series. Marvik faces a desperate battle to save others from a ruthless assassin who will stop at nothing in order to protect the secret of the Mary Jo’s last voyage from ever being exposed
"Plenty of action, I didn't want to put the book down. A good read for mystery/ thriller fans." Net Galley
Lethal Waves, is the thirteenth in the popular crime series featuring the flawed and rugged detective, Inspector Andy Horton.
On his return from Guernsey, Horton is called out to investigate the death of a vagrant whose body is found under a rotting houseboat on the shores of Portsmouth.
"Nothing in this police procedural is as it first appears. The Harley Davidson–riding, boat-dwelling Horton is a fascinating man to get to know, and his thoughtful approach to detection is a pleasure to read." Publishers Weekly
The new Inspector Andy Horton, Dead Passage, is to be published in October 2018 in paperback and as an ebook.
Also available as an ebook and on Amazon Kindle, Kobo and for loan from UK, USA, Irish and Commonwealth libraries
