I dropped into Waterstone's in Newport on the Isle of Wight last week and was delighted to see Paul Armfield, the manager, who showed me the huge display of my crime novels in the store.  I saw the shelf display at the front of the store under 'Fiction That We Love' and was thrilled with that but then he took me further into the store and there was a complete panel dedicated to some of my books, including hard cover copies of the latest in the series featuring my flawed and rugged DI Andy Horton, Footsteps on the Shore . Along with this were copies of  Dead Man's Wharf , ( no.4) and Blood on the Sand ( No 5.) which is set on the Isle of Wight. My thrillers were also there, In Cold Daylight  and In For the Kill which is set on the Island. Pauline Rowson in a hug with Paul Armfield Manager of IOW Waterstone's I signed some copies while I was in the store and hope to return to Waterstone's to give a talk and book signing in September on the launch...

2010 is already shaping up to be a busy year with lots of writing activity, talks and book signings to look forward to. Here is the line up for the first six months of the year as it stands at the moment. There is a new Calendar of Events page on my official web site which you can check out and you can also register for my regular e newsletter keeping you up to date with events, book signings and publications.  I will, of course, be posting them here throughout the year. On 27 January I kick off the year with an interview on BBC Radio Solent. January also sees the launch of a brand new competition aimed at young crime writers in which I am involved on behalf of the Crime Writers Association. More on this in the next few days. February 2010 and the new Inspector Andy Horton marine mystery crime novel called Blood on the Sand will be published. In addition, Dead Man’s Wharf is being published in paperback in the UK and in April in the USA.
